de Jiu-Jítsu movimenta Emirados Árabes em maio

Com o patrocínio de Sheikh Zayed Bin Mohamad Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, o embaixador do Jiu-Jítsu no Oriente Médio, o faixa preta tricampeão mundial e campeão europeu de Jiu-Jitsu, Carlão Santos, promove mais um grandioso evento de arte suave, o "Abu Dhabi Internacional Cup 2008".

O evento acontece na própria Abu Dhabi nos dias 09 e 10 de maio, sendo considerado o maior evento daquele continente e um dos maiores do mundo no esporte. Em contato com os Emirados Árabes desde 2002, quando realizou seu primeiro trabalho, o professor Carlão Santos atualmente é um reconhecido e famoso profissional, com espaço em jornais, emissoras de televisão e outros órgãos de imprensa do Oriente Médio. "Por aqui o Jiu-Jítsu é visto de forma diferente do Brasil, temos uma imagem positiva, toda a família real treina Jiu-Jítsu, todos são movidos com o esporte", ressalta o embaixador Carlão Santos, e ainda motiva os atletas, "Sei que é muito caro para vir aqui, mas quem tiver patrocínio de repente vem, pois aqui é um ótimo mercado para futuros negócios".

Com uma premiação total de US$ 33 mil, o evento será formado por dois grupos (graduações branca & azul + roxa, marrom & preta) e 15 divisões de peso, incluindo o absoluto, que chega a premiação individual de US$ 2 mil. Ways to win: Submissions ( verbal or by tapping ) conciously submitting, Referee stoppage by any of the following ( Excessive Bleeding, Doctor Stopagge , Feels that the competitor cannot continue the match ) Competitors coach or corner throws in a towel or signal the referee to stop the match , referee decision ( its is final and will not be reversed ), Disqualification, Forfeit, No show.
